Using double side kick as an example, here’s the process we went through:
Grandmaster Vohra gets into the tailor made motion capture suit and runs through the form (again and again and again!).
The raw motion footage or ‘mocap data’ is reviewed and the team choose the best moves.
Using Grandmaster Vohra’s measurements (and some artistic license for the face) we create a virtual body and combine this with the motion capture footage of Master Vohra.
Once the technical review is complete, the team get to add the artistic details on the face, suit etc.
The character is placed into a specially created 3D environment and the developers add in all the features that will give the user control over the environment.
